Horse joint pain is something I never actually thought about. I always assumed horses, like my horse Semper, didn’t feel pain or get sick. When my beautiful pet Semper seemed to be aching, I had no clue where to begin. Luckily I found Dr. Ava Frick’s website about her Animal fitness Center. I learned that animals, even horses, can be susceptible to diseases and illnesses that are also experienced by humans. If I had not taken Semper in so soon and his equine arthritis had gotten worse I would have never lived it down.Animal Pain Relief
Ava Frick explained that horse joint pain is actually pretty common once they become over 15 years in age. Tendons and cartilage, in horses and humans, wear down over time as they grow old. I have had Semper since I was 14 and am realizing that he is growing old too and experiencing horse arthritis and stiffness and swelling. I had not noticed that he was in so much pain and had been suffering for quite some time already. I still let him endure hours of practice and even burden him with too much physical activity as I ride him to go around our farm every day.
Horse joint pain can easily be alleviated by medications and drugs. I do know that to much medication and drugs can lead to organ failure and problems for my horse. I really wanted to make sure Semper’s care was as natural and holistic as possible. Good thing Dr. Ava Frick also supports different types of therapy and pain management programs that are all natural. The main thing I liked about the Animal Fitness Center is their alternative treatment to relieving pain and discomfort in all animals. They not only relieve pain and discomfort of all types of animals but also make sure they receive the proper nutrition to make sure they have a speedy recovery. I was truly relieved to see how my horse was cared for during his stay at the Animal Fitness Center.
One thing about the animal chiropractic care that Dr. Ava Frick gave to Semper is that it was custom just for him. This type of treatment is aimed at targeting the core of the problem and not merely the symptoms. Even though medicine can relieve the horse joint pain that Semper felt, they usually don’t even treat the actual problem just the symptoms. Semper received massage therapy and PST, which is Pulsed Signal Therapy, and is a non invasive type of pain management that helps with the function of the problem areas. Already Semper is showing improvement after just a few weeks at the Animal Fitness Center.Animal Chiropractic
